Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Micellar water has rocketed in popularity mainly due to the infamous Bioderma and now we have different brands trying to recreate the success.
One thing that makes micellar water so popular is the ease that it takes to use and the effectiveness of removing make-up.

The one I have discovered recently is the Garnier offering and by golly it's a gooden!

It comes in a huge 400ml bottle which costs £4.99 but after some research it is at Savers for £2.99! Bargain or what?! I know where I'm purchasing it next!

It removes all of my make-up so effectively with minimal rubbing around the eyes which is a must as my eyes are pretty sensitive when it comes to removing eye make-up.

I think it is a fantastic alternative to wipes and has certainly fitted into my skincare routine with ease. I tend to use this as a pre cleanse as I still feel like I need to give my skin a deeper cleanse to get rid of all the gunk sitting in my pores (lovely I know!)

It simply does what it says on the bottle... What more could you ask for?

Which micellar water are you liking at the moment?

#2 Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

So this is my second post in my Soap and Glory reviews (the first one can be found here) and today I am looking at Sugar Crush Body Scrub!

For me there is nothing better than using a scrub when your body feels like it needs a pick me up and this is the perfect scrub to do this.
Firstly let me just talk about the smell. Every time I take a sniff of this a little piece of me goes to heaven, it smells incredible. It's smells mainly of lime which is just so uplifting and reminds me of eating lime flavour starburst.. Mmmm! Once used the smell lingers around for so long and just leaves me with a little spring in my step for as long as I can smell it.
But obviously the most important thing is how it performs and I can safely say it's my favourite scrub I have tried!
The scrub contains:
Smashed brown sugar
Sweet lime
Almond oil
Macadamia grains
So the sugar and the macadamia grains are bits that get scrubbing all that dead skin away and the almond oil is where it leaves your skin so soft after it has been washed off.

The thing I like the best about this is that it gets the job done so effectively but it isn't harsh and doesn't feel like my skin has been dragged through a bush, although I would be careful on using this on freshly shaved skin as it does sting and make your eyes water!
I tend to use this around 2-3 times a week in either the shower or bath and with it being 300ml it has lasted me such a long time which is great value for money as you can pick it up from Boots for £8.
I couldn't think of using any other scrub as the smell and the way it performs gets me coming back every time...

Whats your favourite scrub?

Garnier Summerbody

Unfortunately in the UK we haven't had the best start to Spring, it's been cold, wet and windy, so anything to put a little colour in my life is seriously welcome and this is where Garnier Summerbody comes into play.

I have had this since last summer and I remember how much I loved it so I dug it again and thought I would give myself a little 'pick me up'! The only thing I remember not liking so much is the smell. It's not AS bad as other gradual tanners I have used but it still smells a little funky however the colour it gives seems to be worth the smell for me!

When it comes to getting a tan the 'fake' way I much prefer gradual tanners as I feel it gives you more control and has your moisturiser locked into it too and if I'm being honest I'm not so good at applying fake tan... Orange streaks anyone?!

With this I always buy the Deep sun-kissed one rather than the lighter shade I know they do. I am quite pale to start off with but I just find that this works better and gives me a quicker result.
It leaves my skin looking really healthy and tanned and just gives my skin a kick in the right direction to summer!
Now I did mention the smell, which is the traditonal biscuit sort of smell, and yes it is there which is a shame but to battle this I tend to apply a moisturiser with quite a heavy scent about an hour or so after I have applied this which then helps to mask the smell.
I do really love this and is just lovely to use when its rainy and cold outside and reminds me that summer is, hopefully, around the corner!

Let me know what Gradual tanners you use and if any smell nice!

Natural Collection - WHITE eyeliner!

This was in fact a completely random purchase from me.
I always wear black eyeliner on my waterline and occasionally will stray into wearing bright colours, but not often so to get a white eyeliner was quite a brave decision for me! Go me!

I purely decided to get the Natural Collection one as it was the cheapest at a bargain price of £1.99! That way if I felt it didn't suit me there weren't much money lost.
But the truth is I actually really really like it! It makes such a difference to wear a white eyeliner rather than black. It brightens my eyes up and makes them look more awake... Which I'm sure you will agree is a good thing :)
I love the fact it is a little different aswell, you can kind of channel that 60's vibe which I ADORE as I love the fashion of the 60's!

The eyeliner itself goes on smooth and I have no problems with it what-so-ever. The picture of my eye doesn't really do it justice but I thought I would add it anyway. I have it on the bottom waterline and I just feel like it makes my eyes look bigger and brighter :)

So there you have it! There's not much to say about an eyeliner really but I thought I would post about it and urge you to try it if you normally wear black eyeliner as you may be surprised about the effect it can give!

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed - My review and step by step pictures!

As a follower of my blog you will probably know by now how much of a fan I am of Soap and Glory products. They never seem to let me down and they simply do what they promise to do... Yay!
So today's review is going to be on this little gem:
Soap and Glory describe this as 'A super self-heating 5 minute deep pore detox face mask with a free skin smoothing sponge. This is a deep cleansing treatment, ideal for greasy and blackhead prone skin.'

Now you may have seen this in my haul here  and now because I have been using it for a while I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show you how I use it step by step and give you a little insight to what I think of the product.

How to use:
I use this around 1-2 times a week depending on when I feel my skin needs it on cleansed skin so normally after I have just used Soap and Glory's Peaches and Clean cleanser.

I take around a grape sized amount on my finger tips and massage this into the skin

As soon as the product comes into contact with the skin you feel a slight warming sensation. Once on the skin I then wet my hands and rub the product in even more and this is where the fun begins!
The warming sensation increases and this is when it starts to turn blue! Within the product are little blue beads and once activated on the skin by application this is what gives the warming sensation on the skin. The warming sensation is not harsh or uncomfortable, I personally find it quite soothing :)

Once your face is pretty much blue, like above, you then have a choice to use this as a quick refresh, in which case, you can take it off straight away OR you can leave it on for around 3-5 minutes for more of a deep down clean.
Once you are ready you use the little sponge included with the product to clean it off:

My review:
I do love this product. I love the whole application of it and the fact you can actually feel it working once it is on the skin. Now the warming sensation it gives may not be to everyone's cup of tea but this is what makes me love the product that little bit more.
Now once removed from the skin it leaves it feeling so soft and just thoroughly cleansed, almost as though every bit of dirt, grime and left over make-up has been removed and all your left with is deep down cleansed skin... Lovely!
Now I suffer from blackheads on my nose and when using this product I do notice that each and every time I use this they seem to be disappearing. Now I'm not going to say they have all disappeared and I have the clearest nose (I wish) But I don't think any product could produce them kind of results no matter how much it claimed too.
I just look forward to using this product, and to be honest that in itself is saying something!
It retails at £11 which isn't exactly on the cheap side but then again I am willing to pay that because it performs so well and is a reasonable sized product and to be honest it's soap and glory! :)

Bourjois 123 Perfect and Revlon Photoready Primer both on offer!

So I'm sitting here with the boyfriend in my pajamas. He's on the Xbox and I'm on here writing this, oh and I must also mention we are both eating doritos with the dips. Heaven! :)
So there you have an insight to what I do on a Friday night! Haha!
Anyway's more onto the actual post itself!

Please note that I haven't actually tried these out yet just thought I would show you what I got and have a little chit chat :)

These are both what I brought today when I popped into boots.
To be honest I need another foundation like I need a hole in the head. Do I ever listen to my inner self telling me I need to stop? Well no of course! Where would the fun in that be? ;)
I already have the Bourjois Flower Protection Foundation which I actually really like so I thought I would try out 123 Perfect Foundation as it was on offer for £6.99. Now normally with foundations I am the second lightest most of the time but I thought I would get the lightest as when I swatched it on my hand it didn't actually seem to be that light and if it is I do have some foundations that are a little to dark for my liking I.E orange :/ So if it is too light I can always mix... Anyone else do this? Or just me? ha!

I never really use a primer in my make-up routine if I'm honest. I have a MUA one I brought for like £4 but it's stuck in my make-up draw unused. I'm not sure why I don't, well actually I do. It's because I'm lazy. LOL.
But I had a £2 off any Revlon product coupon from Boots in my purse and thought it was about time I used it. I was actually looking to purchase a Revlon Lip Butter but thought I would purchase this instead and I actually made quite a saving which I will tell you about...
The Revlon Photoready Primer is on offer for £8.99
I had a coupon which would take £2 off making it £6.99
BUT the coupon would not work on the self service till so the sales assistant directed me to the main tills and the lady also couldn't put the coupon through so because she had trouble doing so she somehow but it through as only £5.99 yay! Saving me £3. So I'm quite happy that I managed to get it so cheap and I'm really looking forward to trying it out!

Let me know If you have used either of these products and what you have thought of them!

P.S expect some blog posts soon on both of these when I have begin to use them :) x

Sanctuary Micro-Dermabrasion Body Renewal

Sanctuary Micro-Dermabrasion Body Renewal

I recently got this when I popped into boots as it was on the 3 for 2. This was a spare of the moment pick up as I already had 2 other products and thus was on the search for the other one when I spotted this.
I have always had the problem with having 'bumps' on my legs. I believe this is due to the irritation I get from shaving as my skin can be quite sensitive.

What is the product for?
This Micro-Dermabrasion Body Renewal Polish is for ''micro-bumps' which mainly appear on the backs of arms, thighs, buttocks or knees and can give a mottled or 'chicken-skin' appearance.'
So of course this product then claims to 'polish them away using the unique power of micro-silicates from fossilised seashells' << OOO err!
Now I mainly picked up this product to battle the bumps that I do have on my legs which have been there ever since I started shaving. I felt like I wanted something that is a little bit tougher than just your standard exfoliator.

What does it include?
This product includes Micro-silicates from fossilised seashells. Micro-silicates are in fact 'minute organisms that were fossilised millions of years ago'
It is also fragranced 'with natural essences of grapefruit, lemongrass and mandarian' which are known for their toning properties!
This makes the polish smell absolutely gorgeous and really refreshing!

How do you use it?
To use this product you actually apply it on DRY skin before getting into the shower and massage it on the areas for around 3minutes. Then once in the shower you continue to rub it in and then, of course, rinse off. Simple... :) And it is to be used 1-2 times a week.

What is it like to use?
This is such a gorgeous product to use! It's like a very fine gritty scrub which works amazingly well at doing exactly what it says.

Has it made a difference?
It has made a MASSIVE difference to the bumps that I did have on my legs! They have virtually disappeared which NO other exfoliant has ever achieved before.
It also makes your skins REALLY soft and smooth and just thoroughly clean, which I'm sure that's what we all want our skin to be like... :)

I'm really happy I picked this up as it is such a pampering product to use to make your skin feel really soft and smooth... :)

It retails at £9.45 which I think is a fantastic price considering what it claims to be and what it includes. It is also going to last a long time as you only need to use a little as it goes a long way!

Garnier Pure Active Roll On

Recently my skin has been beyond terrible. I have got so many blemishes around my chin area along with blemish marks... Lovely... :/

So as I was walking around Boots after payday.. (dangerous!) I noticed this. I picked it up purely because it was on offer at £4.99, I never really believe all the claims that are plastered all over the packaging so I rarely buy products like these but I thought this time I would actually try it out and give it a go, and I'm so glad I did!

It's a roller ball that, well, you roll on over the spots/marks you have! Simple.

It has 2% Purifying Salicylic Acid which 'has an instant drying effect to fight spots even before they appear' and is enriched with HerbaSoothe which 'provides immediate soothing relief.'
The fact that it has 2% Salicylic Acid is great as it is the highest amount you can get over the counter and is fantastic for fighting blemishes!

The roller ball application is super easy to use and it feels so soothing when you roll it on the 'problem areas.' I noticed that my blemishes did reduce and any spots that I feel are coming up don't really appear after using this on the area.
I actually enjoying using this as I have noticed a difference and it is super easy to use at any time on existing blemishes and any that feel like they are going to appear!

I would recommend this product 100% as unlike over products I have used for reducing my blemishes have just made no difference whereas this does actually work and also it is on offer at the moment in boots for £4.99 so grab it while you can!

On another note I am currently waiting for my Feelunique box! Exciting! :)
