June's Glossybox

So yes it's that time of the month again! I still can't believe we are in June, already through the middle of the year, but on a good note my birthday is in 21 days... Not that I'm counting or anything... ;)

I am actually loving the fact that in the last few months when getting my glossybox I haven't heard anything about products that are going to be inside, so when I do actually get it, it seems to make it that bit more exciting! (Anyone get that too?)

So onto June's box...

Now as the eager eyed lookers may have noticed that one product is missing and yes your not wrong. There is also a BM Beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer that was also included but typically I have NO idea where that is, I did try it out and actually quite liked it so it probably is in my room somewhere but at the moment I don't know where so I apologise for not being able to include it to show you...

GLOSSYBOX Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush
RRP £15

I'm going to get straight to the point and say this brush is awful. In the description of the brush it states that '(it) gives a supersoft make-up application.' Supersoft you say? I must have got the wrong brush. It is really rough and as you can see by the middle picture above the hairs on the brush splay in any which way they fancy. When comparing it to my Real Techniques blush brush you really do see the difference:
One thing that I will fail to understand is that they are going to be charging £15 for this brush. To be perfectly honest I don't think I will spend £1 on it. Sorry Glossybox but this is a huge fail.

So now the negative product is out of the way lets get onto the others! :)

YVES ROCHER FRANCE Mini Mascara Ultra-volume Sexy Pulp 2.5ml
Full Size - 9ml - £16.90

I can honestly say I have never heard of this brand before which is what I love when it comes to getting a product in the Glossybox as I feel that is what getting a beauty box is all about, exploring different brands!
I LOVE trying out different mascaras as I always feel you notice the difference straight away and how the product works and I really do like this mascara.
This mascara really defines my lashes without leaving them clumpy. You can really build this mascara up or just leave it looking more natural for day time wear.

CLEAN START BY DERMALOGICA Day/Night 3-step Kit
Full Size - £12

I was SO excited when I saw this as I really do love trying out new skincare products and these fit my needs perfectly! My skin has never been perfect and I do suffer from blemishes and this is what this kit is designed for. RESULT! :)
In the kit you get 3 products which are designed to be used for both morning and evening except for the moisturiser which is only used in the morning. I love the fact that it tells you how to use the product and when as it is pretty fool proof!

  • Foaming wash - helps to clean deep and wipe out dirt and breakouts
  • Purifying toner- this refreshing mist helps control shine and keep breakouts away
  • SPF moisturiser - Lightweight lotion that won't clog pores.
I have tried these out for a few days and so far so good! Of course I will use these for a few more weeks or until they are gone before I give a full review but these are absoloutley perfect for my skin at the moment so I am very happy I have these.

VICHY Dermablend Ultra Corrective Foundation Cream Stick
Full Size - £19

I was so excited when I saw this as I have been wanting to try this for a while. Now I already have the Dermablend liquid foundation that I love but I know the cream stick gives a little more coverage.
Now this is a fantastic idea that Glossybox have included 6 different colours to try out so you can get your perfect colour, rather than getting a colour that you may never use if it doesn't suit you.
Super duper excited to give this a proper try on those pesky blemish and scarring I have on my face... :D

So there you have it. Apart from that one product this box is great. Glossybox has failed to let me down again and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these products. Hopefully I may find my BM bronzer too.. LOL.
Let me know what you think!

  2. Sounds like you got some good things, although that brush does not look the greatest! I love the idea of the skincare set though! x
